Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.  Luke 6:38

Your Donations Help Us Mend, Send and Extend

We’re embarking on an incredible journey; one many people will find difficult or nearly impossible.  We are planting a new, life-giving church in South Dallas, the poorest section in the city of Dallas, the infamous 75210 zip code.  Folks undoubtedly and understandably wonder where we will get the money to launch Saltmakers Church and sustain it?

Those who ask such questions are right about one thing: Poverty is an extremely real issue plaguing South Dallas.  The Census Bureau reported that in 2015 nearly 50% of the families living in South Dallas lived below the poverty line.  The remaining population lives extremely close to it, apart from a few people.

We whole-heartedly believe God has sent us to South Dallas.  Because this is His calling on us, He will provide. As the adage says, “Where He leads, He feeds, and where He guides, He provides.”

Jesus absolutely loves the residents of South Dallas, and therefore, we are assured that He will provide the funds to reach the lost in this area. He wants the residents of South Dallas saved more than we do.  He died for them!

God works through people

God is just and provides for His church through people.  He does not drop money out of heaven.  He touches the hearts of His people to give, allowing them to be a part of the miraculous work He is doing on this earth. What a privilege it is that He uses us! Remember that giving is more blessed than receiving (Acts 20:35).

We pray that if God has touched you to give, you will be obedient to the voice of the Lord.  Please look at it this way: Your tax-free donation will help win souls for Christ and transform a very depressed region of Dallas.  Accomplishing this goal benefits all and advances God’s kingdom.

Can we count on you to become a regular donor?  Jesus said if we help the least of us, we are helping Him (Matthew 25:31-48). When we help Jesus by helping the poor, Jesus gives back to us in good measure, pressed down, and running over proportions (Luke 6:36).

Where will your donations go?

This is a great question.  We would love to answer it.  The first place your donations will go is to cover the costs of launching Saltmakers Church.  Our goal is to raise at least $250,000 before April 2018.  See Figure 1.  This money is needed to cover salaries, buy equipment, pay rent for a building, and so much more.

Second, donations go toward meeting the needs of the community.  For instance, every Monday evening we feed approximately 75 homeless people, and the numbers are continually swelling.  Some eat no meals all day until we arrive.  Some tell us they have not eaten a good meal in many years.

Third, we sponsor events almost weekly to help reach the South Dallas youth.  We have a great desire to point them in the right direction and give them hope.  Reaching them may be our greatest desire and responsibility.  These are some of the important ways we will direct donations.

Partner with us

We hope we can count on you.  We really need your help and partnership in this venture.  Let God lead you to help us advance His kingdom.  The need right here in our own backyard is very great.  We cannot turn our backs on these people, not when God has placed such a burden on our hearts for them.

If you are a local pastor, please consider sponsoring us.  We would be happy to meet with you and your staff to see how a partnership can best help in our journey.  Your church may be in a suburb but have an interest in inner city ministry.  If so, we would love to speak with you.  Alternatively, if you are a small businessman or an executive, we would love to review the possible ways your business can help us start up and grow!  We know God has many fine Christian businessmen and women interested in advancing God’s kingdom and seeing transformation in inner city communities.

If anything in this letter describes you or has tugged on your heart, please visit our donate page.  Or text the word GIVE to (972) 597-2551.

We look forward to seeing God bring a miraculous change to South Dallas.  Thank you for your kind, thoughtful and prayerful consideration.
