South Dallas Will Never Be The Same
We’re super excited to be bringing Saltmakers Church, a new life-giving church to South Dallas. We got the name Saltmakers from Matthew 5:13 where Jesus called His followers the salt of the earth. Since our life’s mission is making authentic Christ followers consistent with Matthew 28:18-20, it dawned on us that we’re saltmakers. Thus, the name Saltmakers Church.
Our goal is to bring the Kingdom of God to South Dallas and make authentic, fully devoted Christ followers. We desire to make a lasting, positive impact on South Dallas. Our love for South Dallas has developed from a decade of working with South Dallas residents professionally and from a very moving experience we had recently.
However, planting a new church takes lots of people, prayer, energy, time, and commitment. It is a BIG DEAL starting a church. Therefore, we are already busy recruiting a team of people who’ll help us launch Saltmakers. We will train our launch team members in a weekly intimate, informal setting how to make our first and subsequent services a wonderful experience filled with God’s presence. Finally, we have begun raising funds to finance the vision since church planting the right way is very costly.
The launch date is April 1, 2018. That is Easter Sunday. MARK YOUR CALENDAR! We are planning many events in southern Dallas County to introduce ourselves. We’re using social media to share our ministry.
